Fishing For the coarse angler we have 600 yards of canal plus a lake stocked with Carp and Tench; Fishing is also available on the nearby River Severn.

Shooting We have nearby facilities for clay pigeon shooting parties with instruction for beginners.

Riding Pony-Trekking, overlooking the lovely hills of Powys, is available about 20 minutes drive.

Quad-Trekking Explore the beautiful Mid Wales scenery on quad bikes, available just 30 minutes drive which is ideal for all ages.

Places to Visit Mid-Wales abounds with places of interest with Powys Castle almost on our doorstep and many lakes, dams and waterfalls within an easy drive. The Slate Mines, Snowdonia and the Aberdovey coast are all worth a visit.

Places of Interest Swimming, leisure centres, shopping, steam trains, golfing all within 15 minutes drive.

Eating Out There is a wide variety of Pubs, Restaurant and Hotels nearby, catering for most tastes and budgets and children are welcome at most establishments.

Located on site at reception we have a small souvenir shop with postcards, jewellery, slate products, posters, Welsh dolls and dragons, pens, ornaments, cards, boxed toffees, plus many more items arriving every day, and we also sell peanuts and wild bird seed for you to feed to the wildlife in the wood.
